THE KASHMIR FILES MOVIE REVIEW
The Kashmir Files movie is a true effort to bring the known but hidden historical heart-touching truth of the Hindu Kashmiri Pandits genocide in front of the new generation and non-Kashmiris.
Those who were born before the '80s know very well that it had happened.
It's also the story of how politics is been indulged in some of the universities and an attempt to brainwash the youth.
The youth can relate incidents that happened in a university where different slogans were been raised.
Although some may say that this movie is propaganda and will raise the objection as they don't want to be exposed.
We appreciate director Vivek Agnihotri's courage in picturizing the real bitter truth.
If we analyse the Kashmir Files movie politically it is justification towards Kashmiri Pandits who were forced to become refugees as well as were not been supported by the governments and so-called activities. On the other hand, they were presented not as victims.
Probably this movie may apply some relief to their wounds at least by accepting that they were victims and not migrated because of their own wish.
Now comes to scriptwriting we would like to say that it could have been tighter. Although some of the more horrible incidents are presented with restrictions and create curiosity among the viewers to find out the facts.
The character similar to Suzanna Arundhati Roy was well written and Pallavi Joshi who is one of the best actresses has played it efficiently. It was a pleasure to see her acting.
It's known by everyone the relationship of a writer and a so-called freedom fighter.
Anupam Kher and Mithun Chakraborty are good actors but their characters were not that impactful. Although they have tried their best to make it presentable.
Puneet Issar was looking dashing in the role of DGP.
Mrinal Kulkarni is looking gracious in the movie. She has justified and left an impact in her short role.
The presence of Prakash Belawadi is noticeable.
Darshan Kumar, Aman Iqbal and Bhasha Sumbli were almost okay despite lengthy roles.
